Book Buds: Alphabet Adventures (pre-K)

A Fun and Engaging Pre-Literacy Class for Preschoolers!

Give your child the strong pre-literacy foundation they need to succeed in kindergarten with our Alphabet Adventures class, specifically designed for young learners ages 4-5.

Led by two experienced speech therapists and literacy specialists, this engaging enrichment class is designed for young children who are excited to begin their reading journey

Through fun, hands-on activities, we’ll build the foundational skills that are strongly linked to future reading success. This class will cover:

• Naming and writing both uppercase and lowercase letters 

• The sounds each letter spells/makes (known as the alphabetic principle) 

• Identifying rhyming words

• Counting syllables in words

• Exposure to blending two sounds (a vowel and a consonant) to read simple words

The season consists of 10 classes, as follows:

• September: 9/8, 9/15, 9/29
• October: 10/30, 10/27
• November: 11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 11/24
• December: 12/1
