Give Your Kindergartener a Confident Start on the Road to Reading!

Is your child ready to move beyond letters and sounds into reading? Ready to Read is the perfect next step for children ages 5-6 who have begun building their literacy foundation and are eager to grow. Led by two experienced speech therapists and literacy specialists, this class builds on early literacy skills and gently advances toward key reading milestones. This class is designed to:

• Boost phonemic awareness through interactive games that teach children how to isolate, manipulate, and delete sounds in words
• Strengthen decoding and spelling by blending and segmenting simple CVC words and exploring word families (like cat, hat, and bat)
• Build high-frequency word fluency by focusing on decoding-friendly sight words that support reading flow 
• Develop comprehension and narrative skills through rich, engaging read-alouds

With a warm, supportive environment and individualized attention, Ready to Read ensures your child gets the extra practice and targeted instruction they need to thrive, whether they need reinforcement, enrichment, or just more time to explore literacy skills at their own pace.
