Description

At our Sinai Summer Sports Camp, we are dedicated to building a love for sports, fostering teamwork, and helping every young athlete reach their full potential—all while having an unforgettable summer! Designed for incoming 1st–6th graders, our camp provides an engaging, high-energy environment where kids can develop fundamental skills, gain confidence, and strengthen their athletic abilities in a fun and supportive setting.

Our 3rd – 6th grade program is designed for athletes who are ready for a more sports-focused experience, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, leadership, and, of course, fun! Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sports, structured games, and free-choice activities, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience each day.

Here is what a day at Sinai Summer Sports Camp can look like:

9:00 AM – 9:30 AM | Check-In & Morning Kickoff in Rickles

Athletes will check in with their coaches and ease into the day with structured games and social time. Check in will take place on the 4th Floor in Rickles Gym. Whether they prefer shooting hoops, playing catch, hanging out with friends and coaches, or joining an impromptu soccer game, this time allows campers to wake up, connect, and get excited for the day ahead.

 

9:30 AM – 9:45 AM | Morning Huddle

The Morning Huddle sets the tone for the day by bringing the group together to build camaraderie and motivation. Each morning, we hold a highlight ceremony to recognize top plays, acts of sportsmanship, and standout moments from the previous day, inspiring athletes to bring their best attitude and effort.

 

9:45 AM – 10:45 AM | Warmup and Conditioning

Athletes will warmup and participate in a short conditioning session designed to help them learn about their body’s capabilities and new exercise techniques that they can try out at home.

 

10:45 AM – 11:00 AM | Snack Break

A chance to refuel and recharge with a healthy snack before diving into skill development. Please make sure campers bring their own snacks.

 

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Skill Development

Athletes will engage in focused skill-building sessions tailored to specific sports. This time is dedicated to learning new techniques, refining fundamentals, and enhancing overall athletic performance through drills, strategy-based exercises, and small-sided games.

 

12:00 PM – 12:45 PM | Lunch Time!

A well-deserved break to relax, eat, and recharge for an exciting afternoon.

 

12:45 PM – 1:45 PM | Focus Sport Group Games

Afternoons are all about specialization and skill application. Athletes will have the opportunity to focus on a specific sport, where they can apply the skills and techniques they’ve learned earlier in the day to real game situations. This part of the day is designed to take their athletic development to the next level by offering personalized coaching and strategic gameplay. 

 

1:45 PM - 2:00 PM | Afternoon Snack

A chance to refuel and recharge with a healthy snack before diving into skill development. Please make sure campers bring their own snacks.

 

2:00 PM - 2:45 PM | Scrimmages

Athletes will finish their day with scrimmages for  the sport of the day. Not only will athletes get to show off all the skills they’ve learned, but they also get the chance to practice sportsmanship and teamwork.

 

2:50 PM – 3:00 PM | Afternoon Huddle

To wrap up the day, athletes will come together for a closing huddle to reflect on the day, celebrate their achievements, and share highlights. This is a time to reinforce the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship, leaving athletes excited and motivated for the next day of camp!

 

Fridays at Sinai Summer Sports Camp are the ultimate way to wrap up an amazing week! Athletes can look forward to a day packed with excitement, team challenges, and high-energy fun, creating memories that will last long after camp ends. One of the highlights? A delicious pizza lunch! Athletes get to refuel and relax with friends, celebrating their hard work throughout the week. And to top it all off, we turn up the fun with thrilling water games in the afternoon! Whether it's splash competitions, water relay races, or surprise challenges, athletes will cool off, laugh, and enjoy an unforgettable end to their week.

 

Our ultimate goal is to inspire and prepare our athletes for future participation in our athletic programs and school teams while promoting a lifelong passion for sports. Whether they’re discovering a new sport, fine-tuning their skills, or learning valuable lessons in teamwork and perseverance, this camp provides an exciting and meaningful summer experience that will enhance their confidence both on and off the field.
